The Vice President of Angola’s ruling political party at our Factory
The Vice President of the ruling political party visited our factory in Angola, accompanied by a delegation of senior officials.
Our Candy Factory in Angola had the honor this week of hosting Mara Quiosa, Vice President of Angola’s ruling political party – MPLA, at its production facilities in the Luanda-Bengo Special Economic Zone. The visit was part of a broader initiative aimed at understanding the progress of Angola’s national industrial production and the role of local enterprises in the process of economic diversification.
The Vice President was accompanied by senior officials, including Auzílio Jacob, Governor of Ícolo e Bengo Province, and Miloš Perišić, Ambassador of Serbia to Angola. The delegation was received by the management of the Special Economic Zone, after which they toured our production facilities.
As one of the fastest-growing confectionery manufacturers in Angola, Candy Factory has been operating since 2022, with a production capacity of more than 6,700 tons per year. Today, it employs over 150 people, the majority of whom are young Angolans. The products of our Candy Factory – candies, chewing gums, and lollipops – are made in Angola, for Angola, and for the world.
Milena Kiselički, Director of Operations and Process Development at Candy Factory, stated that this visit represents an important milestone for the factory.
“We continue to invest in growth, foster innovation, and apply the accumulated knowledge and expertise of Nelt Group here in Angola. Our ambition is to demonstrate that products from Angola can be of world-class quality, standing shoulder to shoulder with any international brand. At Candy Factory, we believe in the importance of ongoing and constructive dialogue between industry and state institutions. Such cooperation is crucial for shaping legislation that supports and accelerates the development of this still young, but highly promising, industrial sector in Angola,” said Kiselički.
