Angola was Nelt Group’s first market in Sub-Saharan Africa and has been an important part of the Group’s international development since 2011.

Headquartered in Luanda, Nelt Angola provides distribution and market development services for leading international and regional consumer brands and serves more than 5,000 customers across the market.

Over more than a decade of operations, the company has developed strong local market expertise and distribution capabilities adapted to the complexity and dynamics of the Angolan market.

Nelt Angola plays a central role in Nelt Group’s African operations, combining local commercial capabilities with the Group’s international expertise, systems and long-term approach to market development.

The company’s presence in Angola has also supported Nelt Group’s expansion into local manufacturing through Candy Factory and its long-term social impact partnership with UNICEF.

Candy Factory Angola

In cooperation with the local partner company Oxbow, Nelt founded Candy Factory in 2018, a pioneer in the confectionery industry in Angola.
The primary goal of Candy Factory is the production and sale of high-quality, innovative and reliable confectionery products from Angola to the world. The production of candies, lollipops and chewing gums of different flavours started in September 2022 in a factory in the Special Economic Zone (SEZ) in Viana-Luanda.
With a production capacity of more than 6,700 tons per year, Candy Factory intends to significantly reduce the import of lollipops, candies and chewing gums, providing the Angolan market with reliable quality products and competitive prices. This project represents another step towards the diversification of the economy, especially in the confectionery sector in this country.
