UNICEF & Nelt: School Principals and Pedagogues Visit Nelt
The focus of the meeting was developing leadership competencies within the educational environment
In collaboration with UNICEF, yesterday we welcomed school principals and educational counselors from across Serbia at our CDLC in Dobanovci. The focus of the meeting was developing leadership competencies in educational environments and exchanging practical knowledge that can improve work with students and teaching teams.
The event was opened by Bojana Mucić, Chief Human Resources Officer, who emphasized the importance of continuous learning and leadership development across all segments of society.
Participants were also welcomed by Tanja Ranković, Head of the Education Program at UNICEF Serbia.
“This is a pioneering initiative that connects the worlds of business and education through the exchange of knowledge and experience in the fields of leadership and management. School principals play a key role in fostering a stimulating school climate, and through programs like this they have the opportunity to develop skills that help them inspire their teams and enhance the quality of education,” said Tanja.

Bojana Nikolić, Senior Education and Development Expert at Nelt Group, emphasized that strengthening the competencies of school principals and teachers is crucial for student development, and that the partnership with UNICEF enables schools to access high-quality professional development programs.
“We are proud that Nelt is the first company to take on this responsibility together with UNICEF. We believe that investing in education means investing in the community, and that developing the capacities of school principals and teachers represents an investment in the future of our children,” said Bojana Nikolić, Senior Education and Development Expert at Nelt Group.

Throughout the day, participants:
-
learned about our business model and corporate development practices through a presentation by Milica Jević, Senior Corporate Communications Specialist at Nelt Group
-
took part in a lecture and interactive workshop on “Effective Leadership,” led by Bojana Nikolić, Senior Education and Development Expert
-
worked on practical examples during the workshop “Applying Leadership in Schools,” facilitated by education consultant Miloš Paunović
-
toured our Intermodal Terminal, where Ivan Milićević, Intermodal Transport Manager, presented the importance of integrating all capacities Nelt offers to partners across the region through this terminal

Through a combination of discussions, practical examples, and experience-sharing, participants gained new insights into how modern leadership approaches can contribute to building higher-quality school environments and strengthening the competencies of teaching teams.
Such initiatives encourage dialogue between the business sector and education, strengthen cooperation, and create space for the application of contemporary skills in schools across Serbia.
