The first FMCG Summit in Podgorica, organized by InStore Serbia and under the auspices of Nelt Group, brought together leading retailers, distributors, manufacturers, and service providers from across Montenegro. Among the speakers was Ljilja Pižurica, Executive Director of Nelt MNE.

In her presentation titled “The Strategic Impact of Nelt MNE on the FMCG Industry in Montenegro,” Ljilja highlighted how Nelt, through its integrated business model, contributes to market development and shapes the growth direction of the local FMCG industry.

Speaking about Nelt MNE’s role in the market, she emphasized that the company is not only a leader in logistics and distribution, but also a reliable partner ensuring supply stability, developing its own brands, and creating long-term value for consumers, retailers, and the community. She placed special focus on the importance of digital transformation in distribution, stressing that the development and implementation of digital tools enable more precise sales planning, faster decision-making, and improved internal communication.

“The result of implementing modern technological solutions is a more efficient sales organization and simpler daily operations. We use digital systems that allow real-time performance tracking, centralized information, and advanced analytics for every decision. Integration, supported by modern technologies and personalized solutions, is the key to success,” said Ljilja.

She also underlined the importance of Nelt MNE’s logistics concept “one partner – countless solutions,” through which the company, as part of Nelt Group, brings together all key logistics functions — from warehousing, distribution, and customs representation to automated pick-up points. This level of integration provides partners with a unified approach and services fully tailored to their needs and industry specifics.

When discussing brand portfolio development, Ljilja reminded that Nelt not only distributes principal brands, but is increasingly focused on developing its own — Neoplanta, Baby Food Factory, Chips Way, and Candy Factory. As she noted, this is not merely an additional business line, but a strategic direction that contributes to the overall growth and value of the entire system.

Ljilja also spoke about Nelt’s business strategy – Ascend 2030, which, as she explained, represents a clear framework for the company’s next phase of growth and a defined path toward a secure, sustainable, and digital future.

“Ascend is ambitious but brings great advantages – confidence in preparation, team strength, and a clear path to the top. Over the next five years, we aim to strengthen partnerships, build our own brands, and contribute to the communities in which we operate,” Ljilja emphasized.

Concluding her address, she reminded the audience that Nelt MNE will celebrate 30 years of operations in Montenegro in 2026, highlighting that this anniversary is not only a symbol of longevity, but also a testament to the trust and continuity the company has built with its partners, consumers, and employees.

The FMCG Summit in Podgorica, organized by InStore Serbia, served as an opportunity for industry leaders to present innovative approaches and share their visions for the future development of the FMCG sector in Montenegro.
