Nelt and Fortenova Group started cooperation in North Macedonia

Dijamant and Jamnica in Nelt ST’s distribution portfolio

In early 2023, two large regional companies, Nelt and Fortenova Group, began cooperation on the North Macedonian market, where Nelt will provide logistics and distribution services for the brands of two Fortenova Group companies – Jamnica and Dijamant.

While North Macedonia is already one of the most important export markets for Jamnica, where Jana iced tea is the leader in the category, and Jana is among the top five still waters, that market will be one of the strategic export focuses for Dijamant in 2023. Thus, in North Macedonia, Dijamant will market a whole range of products – oils, table and spreadable kinds of margarine, mayonnaise, and mayonnaise-based dressings under the Dijamant and Dobro Jutro brands.

“We took a big step forward by starting cooperation with such a respectable partner as the Fortenova Group. Following the current strategy of the Nelt Group, we are speeding up our operations and we are glad that we will have such important brands as Jamnica, Jana, and Dijamant in our portfolio”, said Saško Blaževski, executive director for the North Macedonian market, adding that experience and standards applied by Nelt in daily business in its distribution and logistics network guarantee successful and long-term cooperation.

“In the coming period, through cooperation with Nelt, we expect an additional expansion of our assortment in stores so that by the end of the year, from the current 1,200, we will be in more than 2,000 stores in North Macedonia.” It is also very important for us to introduce products to the market that are less known and have great potential, and the goal is to achieve the results we have with Jana iced tea and Jana water with all other brands that will be present on this market. In the coming period, we will be present on the market of North Macedonia with almost the entire assortment: Jana, Jamnica, Jana vitamins, Jana iced teas, fruit-flavored Jana, Mg Mivela, Sara, Toco, Prosport, and ProGame,” said Dejan Varga, Fortenova Group export director of beverage group, within which Jamnica operates.

On the other hand, with this exclusive partnership, Dijamant strengthens its focus on the North Macedonian market and increases its presence on retail shelves, which, along with the opening of a new crude and edible oil factory in Zrenjanin, is the best way to celebrate its 85th anniversary.

To mark the start of the new partnership, kick-off meetings were organized in Skopje, where the export teams introduced the Fortenova Group companies, their products and brands, and their plans for the North Macedonian market.
