Annual meeting of the Nelt Group Legal Compliance&Ethics team

The Nelt Group Legal Compliance & Ethics Team held its annual meeting on 7 and 8 December at Belgrade’s Hotel IN and CDLC Dobanovci.

Members of the team are corporate legal advisors and representatives from the Nelt headquarters in Dobanovci, representatives of the Western Balkan Nelt Group markets (Bosnia and Herzegovina, North Macedonia, and Montenegro), Neoplanta, and the Baby Food Factory (BFF). The meeting focused on the main legal compliance risks observed in the mentioned markets.

In her opening speech, Nelt Group’s Legal Sector Manager, Sunčica Milić, reminded of the history of Nelt Group’s LC Team, which was formed and formalized in 2019, a team that cooperates with all markets on a global level according to the needs and upon request, ensures compliance with numerous requirements and regulations on the territories of 12 jurisdictions. She said that the team enters 2023 with two key projects – “Under the scrutiny of the Legal Compliance & Ethics Team 2024” and “The impact of legal risks on the modern corporation,” which was opened and initiated with this annual LC Team meeting and presentations of main risks.

BFF Legal Manager Marija Ilić and Neoplanta Legal Sector Manager Aleksandar Vujošević presented key legal compliance risks to the team, risks specific to companies that are the manufacturing members of the Nelt Group.

Lawyers for the markets of Bosnia and Herzegovina, North Macedonia, and Montenegro – Ivana Prović, Ivana Trifunovska, and Dražen Brajović – presented to the team the main legal risks characteristic of these markets, as well as tools for their elimination or reduction to an acceptable level.

The guest lecturers were Dejan Bogdanović, attorney at Mikijelj, Janković, and Bogdanović and Nelt tax specialist Ljubisav Stojiljković. Bogdanović analyzed the legal risks of adequate intellectual property protection as a distributor and owner of intellectual property rights, while Stojiljković spoke about legal risks typical for the tax field.
