Nebojša Šaponjić and Aleksandra Jović panelists at the Consumer Rules Summit in Tivat
Held under the organization of the EBRD
Nebojša Šaponjić, Founder and Co-owner of Nelt Group, and Aleksandra Jović, Chief Strategy and Transformation Officer, took part in the two-day Consumer Rules Summit held in Tivat, organized by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD).
Nebojša Šaponjić spoke on the panel “Hard Talk – Mission Debrief: Insights from the Top”, emphasizing that the future lies in collaboration and identifying the right projects in Montenegro, adding that Nelt will continue to seek opportunities that bring long-term value and growth.
Joining him on the panel were Emil Tedeschi, President and CEO of Atlantic Grupa, Mihailo Janković, CEO of MK Group, Ljiljana Kunosić, CEO of Bingo Group, and Dragan Bokan, Chairman of the Board of Voli.
The discussion focused on navigating complex market conditions, covering key topics such as organic growth, diversification into new industries, vertical integration, nearshoring, and digital transformation as tools for strengthening resilience and competitiveness.
On the second day of the conference, Aleksandra Jović took part in the panel “How to Make AI Work for Food Supply Chains?”, where she discussed how artificial intelligence can strengthen the resilience of supply chains in the face of global challenges. She noted that businesses still lack sufficient trust in AI.
“This is not a sign of failure, but rather a stage of maturity. It is essential to involve not only technical teams but also business leaders, because trust needs to be earned. Once the power of technology is understood, companies can optimize operations and provide better service to their clients,” said Aleksandra.
The EBRD conference brought together leading FMCG industry leaders from the region, creating space for open discussions on today’s biggest challenges: inflation, margin pressures, geopolitical tensions, and the sustainability of business models.
Representing Nelt Group, the conference was attended by Darko Lukić, CEO of Nelt Group, Goran Cerovina, Vice President for Adria Markets, Marko Cilić, Chief Financial Officer, Ljilja Pižurica, Managing Director of Nelt MNE, and Bojana Cvetković, Director of Cash Flow, Risk Management and Insurance.
The event in Tivat gathered more than 150 participants, including C-level executives from Central and Southeast Europe, the European Union, Turkey, the Middle East, and Africa.
