Marko Cilić Presented Nelt’s Longstanding Experience and Successful Business Development in Angola
Representatives of Nelt Group, Marko Cilić, Chief Financial Officer and Acting CEO of Nelt Group, and Miloš Jelić, Member of the Supervisory Board of Nelt Group, participated in the high-level bilateral round table “Serbia and Angola: From Successful Projects to New Partnerships”, held at the Palace of Serbia to mark 50 years of friendship and cooperation between the two countries.

The event brought together senior representatives of institutions and businesses from the Republic of Serbia and the Republic of Angola, including the President of the Republic of Angola, João Manuel Gonçalves Lourenço, the President of the Republic of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, ministers from both governments, representatives of the Chambers of Commerce of Serbia and Angola, as well as companies already operating or planning to develop business cooperation in African markets.
The program featured presentations on economic indicators and investment opportunities between the two countries, with a focus on strengthening economic cooperation, enhancing trade relations, and creating new investment partnerships.
A special segment of the program was the presentation by Marko Cilić, Chief Financial Officer and Acting CEO of Nelt Group, who spoke about the company’s long-term experience in Angola and the development of a partnership that has lasted for more than fifteen years.

He highlighted the importance of a long-term approach to developing markets, as well as the role of strong partnerships, local presence, and a deep understanding of market specifics as key drivers of sustainable growth and successful business operations.
“Over the years, Nelt has continuously invested in Angola by developing modern distribution capacities, creating jobs, building local expertise, and expanding into manufacturing through Candy Factory. What began as a distribution business has evolved into a broader platform that supports both international partners and local economic development,” said Cilić.
The participation of Nelt Group representatives at this event confirms the company’s strategic commitment to strengthening international partnerships and expanding its business presence in high-growth-potential markets, particularly across Africa.
