€ 2 Million Investment

Nelt has invested € 2 million in capacity increase of its Intermodal Terminal in Belgrade, whose usable area has been expanded to 30,000 m2. The upgrades have opened the possibility for receiving and disposing of 1,500 full and 5,000 empty containers. At the same time, Nelt has significantly increased the operability and reliability of its terminal by purchasing an additional Reach Stacker, used to manipulate containers.

“Thanks to its excellent location, technical and technological advantages, the terminal is recognized as a Logistics Hub in the Balkans. Deeply convinced of the importance of combined transport, we are continuously investing in its development. With the last investment of € 2 million, we have increased our capacities, in order to provide our clients with a safe, optimal and efficient service”, stated Vuk Mijanovic, Supply Chain Manager at Nelt.

Nelt’s Intermodal Terminal is connected by rail to all European ports and land terminals. Highways E-75 and E-70 intersect at a distance of 6 km, and Nikola Tesla Airport is only 10 km away. In addition to this, Nelt’s terminal is connected with the ports of Rijeka, Bar and Piraeus by regular railway lines. From the very start of terminal operations, the intensity of intermodal flows has been growing, and Nelt has established partnerships with global maritime and logistics giants.

Recently, Nelt was the Golden Sponsor of regional transport and railway technologies fair – South East Europe Mobility 2021, held from September 15th to 17th at Hotel Jugoslavija in Belgrade. On the occasion, interested exhibitors, guests, as well as friends of the Company, had the opportunity to visit the business premises in Dobanovci and learn more about Nelt’s logistics capacities.
