At the recently held Managers Forum, organized by the Serbian Association of Managers, one of the main topics was “What business will look like in the future and what 21st-century technologies bring us.” Darko Lukić, executive vice president of Nelt Group, was one of the speakers, who provided insight into the latest trends and innovations that will shape the business world in the future.

One of the topics was dedicated to the supply chain, with a focus on improving coordination and communication between partners.

Darko reflected on our company’s operations and pointed out that Nelt cooperates with more than 90 partners in distribution, more than 100 in logistics, and supplies over 26,000 customers. “For the resilience of the supply chain, it is much more important how integrated it is than its geographical distance”, Darko said.

Better functioning of the supply chain requires the application of digitization and automation, as well as the trend of automatic reporting. According to Darko, raw data and advanced analytics are the beginning and the end of a process, but the critical element of success is human capital.

“People are the foundation of everything. With their knowledge, skills, and creativity, they enable efficiency and innovation in business,” Darko concluded.
