Third Nelt Customer Day Held in Belgrade
Driving End-to-End Supply Chain Excellence Through Partnership
The third Nelt Customer Day, part of Nelt Week Belgrade, was held today at the Metropol Palace Hotel under the theme “Driving End-to-End Supply Chain Excellence Through Partnership.”
This year’s event focused on innovative and integrated approaches to the execution of logistics services, transportation, and modern supply chains, with the goal of strengthening Serbia as an intermodal and rail hub of Europe.
The event was attended by leaders of major companies in the supply chain, transport, and trade sectors from Serbia and the region, as well as media representatives.
The opening speech was delivered by Igor Kronja, Advisor to the President of the Chamber of Commerce of Serbia, who highlighted that strong and healthy companies like Nelt are crucial for the success of the Serbian economy. With its long-standing business success, Nelt proves to be an important partner in the economic chain across the region and Europe.
Darko Lukic publicly addressed the principals and clients for the first time as the CEO of Nelt Group.
“Our goal is to enhance logistics capacities, with a special focus on the automation and optimization of the logistics network. Distribution is and will remain the heart of Nelt’s business. However, excellence in logistics services and the management of brands are two significant competitive advantages of Nelt,” Darko stated.
Following this, a panel discussion titled “Transforming the Delivery Industry in the End-to-End Supply Chain” took place, featuring Ivic Vodopija, Managing Director for Eastern Europe at Maersk, Stevica Carapic, Regional Director at MSC, and Erich Cossutta, Founder and President of Dragon Maritime Group. The discussion was moderated by Vuk Mijanovic, Supply Chain Manager and Head of Logistics Services Development at Nelt Group.
The keynote speech was delivered by Lukasz Musialski, Partner and Senior Consultant at Chaingers, who spoke about modern logistics trends and ways companies can adapt to market changes.
The event concluded with a conversation between Goran Popovic, COO of Bambi, and Nenad Dikovic, Head of Contract Logistics at Nelt, about the successful partnership between Bambi and Nelt.
Nelt Customer Day is an annual opportunity for the exchange of experiences, ideas, and innovations among leaders in logistics, transportation, and trade. The key takeaway from this event is that supply chains must be integrated to be efficient and resilient, through a partnership approach among all links – producers, logistics and shipping companies, distributors, and retailers, for the satisfaction of the end consumer.
