Terminal in Kruševac commenced work activities

Nelt’s intermodal terminal in Kruševac has successfully commenced with work activities by shipping goods by rail, via Budapest, to the final destination in the European Union.

By activating the first terminal in Central Serbia, the plan of development of Nelt’s intermodal transport network has continued. Located in the industrial zone, near the “Moravian Corridor”, connected via the Dedina station with Pan-European Corridor 10, it is strategically important for both Serbia and the region.

The terminal in Kruševac represents an reinforcement of the regional logistics infrastructure and a territorial expansion of Nelt’s logistics service portfolio. The development plan for this segment of Nelt’s business is establishing the regular railway services with ports in the region and logistics nodes in the EU and Turkey.

“Since 2016, by opening terminals in the Logistics Center in Dobanovac, we have actively contributed to the development of multimodality in regional supply chains. Utilization of this type of transport has financial, social and environmental advantages. The combination of maritime, railway and road transport has become one of the key solutions for energy efficiency and reduction of industrial emissions in the supply-chain decarbonization process”, stated Robert Jenovai, CEO of Nelt for the Serbian market.

With its strategic and geographical position, equipped with railway tracks, the terminal in Kruševac provides full logistical support rendering services of container reloading, vehicle parking, weighing, customs representation, delivery and shipping of containers. It is available to all participants in multimodal traffic flows, existing and future business partners from various industries, guaranteeing a high quality service level based on operational excellence, which presents the daily priority of Nelt’s teams.
